Canadian sailors Antonia and Georgia Lewin-LaFrance won the gold medal in the 49er FX class in the Princess Sofia Trophy on Saturday. The siblings from Chester, N.S., took over the lead in the last race of the competition.

Big Tancook Island residents urge speed limit reduction before new car ferry service starts
Later this year, an 18-vehicle car ferry is expected to start serving Big Tancook Island for the first time. Residents are worried about safety on the roads, which have plenty of deer and potholes and no sidewalks or street lighting.
