@jsnell re your personalization update issue: I had the same problem on my m1 air, but trying to go from the public beta of sequoia to the final release. What solved it for me is turning off find my mac and installing the update.

I've also heard you could try signing in/out of icloud or enabling/disabling filevault.

My immediate thought on checking out Threads is that within 24 hours a lot of the people I miss from Twitter are already on there, and while I don’t like the Threads algorithmic feed, and probably won’t use the app directly very much, I can’t wait for them to federate so I can follow and interact with all those people from my preferred client (Ivory).

And I hope the purist Fediverse scolds don’t end up breaking Mastodon in an effort to stop that from happening.

#Threads #Mastodon #Twitter

no one has ever surpassed the animated netscape logo's ability to make the internet feel majestic and awe inspiring
You're saying this little pizza is all for me? And it's pansexual?

'Those who dared speak up were branded "negative" and "haters", no matter how much data they lugged in tow.'

We were also just told we didn't know what we were talking about or didn't know how to write JS enough OR that we didn't work on complex enough applications that warranted needing CSS-IN-JS solutions or going all in on frameworks :) :) :)

The Market for Lemons

New web services are being built to a self-defeatingly low UX and performance standard, and existing experiences are now pervasively re-developed on unspeakably slow, JS-taxed stacks. At a business level, this is a disaster, raising the question: why are new teams buying into stacks that have failed so often before?

@kinbassar blahaj.social is an instance? Hell yeah

Step 1. Kill the most popular class of clients of an API, one of the few that could afford to pay money for access.
Step 2. Start charging for the API.

But hey at least 1 weeks notice this time…

=============================================== Industrial-AMP2 Skin. A different color but very much similar to the Industrial-AMP both in layout and style. Industrial-AMP2 is inspired by the current layout of my website Version - ET with a little touch of rust, anthracite, and raw metal look for the "industrial" part... more like steel works really. I added 1 extra VISCOLOR.txt file (VISCOLOR1) for the "Spectrum Analyzer" visualization for those who want it. Just rename the file from VISCOLOR1.txt --> VISCOLOR.txt. You can modify the visualization if you want and if you know how to do it but please leave all the graphics (images) as is. =============================================== Industrial-AMP skin. I hate that I’ve become the defacto html email troubleshooter at work. I hate coding for email so much

Read my lips:

An audio show that can only be played in an Apple player on an Apple device is not a podcast.

An audio show that can only be played in Spotify is not a podcast.

Repeat ad nauseam for any other proprietary audio show platforms.

A #podcast is an #RSS feed with enclosures of audio files which are playable across the whole ecosystem of podcast players.

Any reporter who reports on exclusive audio shows and calls them “podcasts” are doing a grave disservice to their audience.
