Anonymous writer of Soylent Red - A Satirical Fable of Modern Political Terror.
Satire, absurdism, politics and everything that goes with it

In this chapter, satire turns sharper as Babe sees how obedience is worn, enforced, and sold as virtue. Speech is twisted. People silenced, but money earned... for some. Beneath the polished language of order lies a system built on silence, fear, and spectacle.

Chapter 5: Mandatory Fashion

And silence lingered on as Babe tried to grasp what now was becoming clear to her — standing out was nothing that would go down favorably…

Babe trails Double Ception past shuttered houses and humming machines that blink like they’re listening. He calls it “the most balanced system”: everyone equal, as long as they stay put.

Chapter 4: The Most Balanced System There Is

Together they walked inland. An odd pair. Babe kept half a step behind Double Ception, unsure whether she was a guest, a prisoner, a meal…

What gives AI writing away isn’t style—it’s the cadence, the quiet sense that the text already knows where it will land. This short piece shows how that invisible structuring reveals itself in the ending.

The road into Dichotomania doesn’t just wind, it doubles back on itself, like a maze designed to keep you politely lost. In today’s chapter, “Double Ception,” Babe meets the land’s two-faced guide and file-keeper, a man (or mask) with a briefcase that blinks red like it’s watching, recording… and deciding.
He offers her help, a “free lunch,” and a single piece of paper to sign: Multipass.

In Dichotomania, Babe wakes on a shore where the world has been bleached to bureaucratic grey, and even the air seems to enforce rules. Billboards smile too widely, a low electronic hum suggests constant watching, and a single command cuts through the confusion: keep to the right. As she walks inland, she senses that logic here isn’t discovered—it’s dictated.

First chapter of my novella Soylent Red is now available at Medium. It introduces my heroine Babe Holder on her boat: Dorothy - an obviously bad name for a boat that meats a tornado.

Chapter 1: Babe

It was the 5th of November when Babe Holder took to the sea. Early, for once, and for herself alone. She hadn’t planned on sailing straight…

I wrote a short satirical–allegorical text about how today’s political power increasingly works through presence: Soylent Red.

The present moment seems to be catching up with it.

I thought I would be dropping it one chapter a week from now and on at Medium. At least that’s the plan.

Don’t worry, if you like it, I will post a link to the homepage of the novella along with each chapter. You find the whole thing here: https://www.tjiso.org/

It is rather fun to think there are exactly seven theories of humor:

1. Superiority Theory – We laugh because, briefly, we feel above someone.
2. Relief Theory – Humor releases tension.
3. Incongruity Theory – Expectations collide and must be reinterpreted.
4. Benign Violation Theory – A rule is broken, but harmlessly.
5. One More for the Road Theory – Like beer, you can never have too many theories on humor.

Power prefers to appear serious, inevitable, unquestionable.
Humor quietly rearranges the scene.

A few may claim to be emperors.
Up close, much of it turns out to be just clothes, beards, and wigs.

And once you notice that, you start wondering who else might help with the undressing.

Systems draw attention toward the loudest and darkest signals.

What happens if we redirect attention instead—small fragments of imagination, thought, even hope, placed into the same currents each day?

Not fighting the noise. Just changing what fills the channel.

Fresh water instead of salt.
