I've been wanting to try this print for a while. The Gates of Argonath are the entrance to Gondor on the Anduin River in Arda in the 3rd Age of Lord of the Rings. It's perhaps the most prolific monument depicted by Tolkien. I made them as book ends for one of my book shelves. Despite all the supports, I'm happy with how it turned out. #3dprinting #lordoftherings
So, this is perhaps the most complicated design I've done since I've started PLA 3D printing. I was asked by a friend to design this for a friend. I think the hardest part of it was getting off the supports, and I had few issues getting the supports of the staff. If it was summer, I would have printed it in resin over PLA. But overall, I'm pleased. #3dprinting #tinkercad #a1mini

Dennis.Today I noticed that my #Bambulab A1 printer is slower when printing with non-Bambulab filament.
The reason is, that 3rd-party-filaments labeled as "Generic" or the newly added "Sunlu" are only set to 12mm³/s volumetric flow. Bambulab PLA Basic is set to 21mm³/s. Therefore I bravely set it to 21mm³/s for Generic, too and tadaa, prints good as usual, but faster.
I may be closer to print farm status than I thought. But with all the printing I'm doing lately, it seemed logical to upgrade to get a bigger and faster printer to help speed up the long que of projects I have. Welcome home, Bambu P1S combo. I love you already. #3dprinting #BambuLab #p1s

So, the stock light on the Bambu A1/A1 Mini kind of sucks. But I like to keep my printer running after dark and check in on it occassionally without going downstairs to check. But the husband doesn't like me to keep the lights on downstairs. Solution. Strip lights powered by the second AMS power port on the x axis. Works wonderfully. #3dprinting #a1mini
