Like LBJ or not (the Civil Rights Act/the Vietnam War), the man took his experience in the Senate and wrung as much out of Congress as a human could, and Joey B is following in his footsteps. I know it's popular to pan long terms, but it's clear that knowing how to work the system from within provides a lot of value. Biden got far more out of our crippled Congress than anyone expected.

@cliffle This is the fourth supported architecture for Android (MIPS and x86, not including the various ARM generations) and an awful lot of devs don't even bother to package native libs outside of ARM64, let alone find a device to test them with.

Would be fascinating if it gets traction, though. Wearables is a good place to target since there are so few apps and a lot of them are clockfaces (if your clockfaces needs an NDK library: no, it doesn't).

@pbump Someone just liked this and a year on I'm sure Fox News has apologized for their clear journalistic malpractice in concocting a nonsense crime narrative and promoting it as a news story exclusively through the election cycle. *Checks earpiece* hold on, I'm getting a... sound like rich white executives laughing?

@DataDrivenMD I think Threads has a real shot, but I'm not convinced the signup stats are very meaningful.

Being able to drive traffic from IG (and eventually FB) was always Meta's trump card-- it's a very powerful card!-- but keeping that particular audience sticky and engaging with a text-forward app may prove hard in a way "we got 35 million people to press a button" probably wasn't.

@[email protected] @bud_t @Teri_Kanefield There's only one GOP power broker left and he's currently standing trial for obstruction of justice.
I must emphasize: this game is very very good (via @draknek) https://cs.uwaterloo.ca/~csk/slide/

Two years ago I was diagnosed with Monoclonal Gammopathy of Unknown Significance. MGUS is to multiple myeloma as "pre-diabetes" is to diabetes: There's a ~1% chance that MGUS will develop into multiple myeloma each year. The life expectancy for someone with multiple myeloma is about 2 years.

Normally people show MGUS in their 70s. By the time it develops into MM, they're likely to die of something else.

My MGUS showed up at 48. So it's likely I will develop multiple myeloma in my lifetime.
