@BobM @UKLabour

Lots of EU politicians can see that #Brexit was a scam.

We make money for each other when we work together.

Let's jail the crooks that did this to us, and #RejoinEU!

Housewives and Downing Street https://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2023/02/03/housewives-and-downing-street/. Our politicians are obsessed by the ‘household analogy that they claim requires them to run the economy as if it was like a household budget. That is completely wrong. This 1935 book might be the origin of that myth.
The stock market is failing according to the CBI. So why don’t we just let it go?

I posted this on Twitter this morning: https://twitter.com/RichardJMurphy/status/1942861045426516103 My point is serious. The CBI is saying that the situation with regard to the UK stock exchange is getting desperate, because it is losing out to overseas markets and not attracting sufficient business. The question that needs to be asked is, why is that?...

The ongoing indulgence of Johnson is demeaning for our country. The man is a lying, contemptuous, self-serving disgrace. He abused his power and got kicked out for it.
No to an honours list. No to foreign ego trips. And no to paying his legal bills. Absolutely not.
Ninety years on from the Enablement Act that gave rise to the most monstrous political movement in history, Britain is about to replicate the frightful final flourishes from the Nazi playbook on establishing a fascist authoritarian regime. Namely, rapidly restructuring the established systems of power and enabling the bypassing of Parliament.

@BobM
Because they can’t admit that Brexit has caused a shortage of working people, they will try any thing.
Take no notice, their adherence to idealistic r/w policies has caused the problem.
Only a return to reality and a general election can solve the problem.

Not got any ID? The tories have deliberately made it more difficult for you to vote because they know you're probably not voting for them. They're counting on you not bothering to click on this link to get yourself some free ID.

Yesterday, Brexiter Iain Martin wrote in The Times that Brexit was still worth it because now our own government has nowhere to hide.
Given the profound dishonesty of our government and the truly dismal state of the country, that is neither true nor a consolation.
As today’s readers confirm.
The UK is facing economic failure on a grand scale, and the Bank of England is just compounding it https://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2023/02/03/the-uk-is-facing-economic-failure-on-a-grand-scale-and-the-bank-of-england-is-just-compounding-it/.Brexit has killed all hope for the UK economy and the UK's political leadership won't do anything about it
