@TRyanGregory sorry to see you’ve stepped away from Twitter. There’s plenty of us who aren’t purists (I have a little one so we can’t be 100% covid safe but we, like you, try our best. FWIW, we eat outside too, as we try to balance giving our family as normal a life as possible , whilst trying to stay safe. It’s a minefield! Please consider coming back when you’re ready. Lots of us appreciate your thoughts.
@lucystorer Having kids adds another level for sure. Constantly making risk-benefit calculations, which includes their emotional well-being as well as their health. It's very, very hard to do. I appreciate you doing your best.
@lucystorer @TRyanGregory this. You’re allowed to eat outside and determine your own risks. I am very COVID safe but I absolutely travel. I have other risks (young adult children and a FF husband), so the odd patio is low on my overall risk chart. I feel it’s safer to be outside in the sunshine, to eat outside, for a few weeks of winter rather than being surrounded by maskless coughers in the Walmart. N95 airport/plane, if inside stores/public bathrooms, even when away.
