Cat jumps on Imam during qiyam (taraweeh) prayers and he behaves exactly like any imam InshaโAllah would.

Hullo. ๐ค
I am a professional photographer (he/him/his) based in #Seattle, Washington, USA. I love and specialize in night-time #photography, especially #cityscapes and urban #landscapes. ๐ธ I photograph events too.
Via Mastodon, I look forward to sharing my photographic and creative works. Equally as important, I hope to develop positive, meaningful, and healthy social connections within the international community. ๐ ๐ ๐

Thank you very much! This specific image is my all-time favorite of SF. I have it featured as an enlarged 24in x 36in metallic print in my home.
I found this location, originally, during a walk on Telegraph Hill back in 2009, I believe. Several years later, in 2016, I retraced my steps and found the same alley again to get some updated images.
You could say it took seven years and 45 minutes to capture. ๐
Thanks again!
Thank you very much! This is a personal favorite from previous voyages to San Francisco!
Did you internally want to believe that they weren't bs-ing you, or perhaps you just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt?
Thank you very kindly! ๐๐พ
Photography is my purpose and passion in life. It's also a struggle, but one that's worth the effort in sustaining.
That's really cool that the producers approached you, expressed interest, and actually requested your permission.
(That's typically the way the transaction should go!) ๐
You definitely did try on your dad's behalf, and congratulations in that regard! Production teams can be shady as well, but it sounds like the one you were working with tried to do the right thing for the most part.
I understand.
Unfortunately, it's the age that we live in and -- from personal experience alone -- there are many people and companies who just don't practice any ethics and believe they can get away with using or stealing #photography without permission.
Not just contests! I even had to confront the U.S. Census Bureau for using my #photograph without my consent. I caught them, and they apologized, calling it an "oversight".
Here's the actual story:
