Yet more goofing off but not with the shader editor and to different music. :)
Video is in 1440p so adjust settings accordingly.
***[ Audio & Motion Warning] ***
The sync gets more noticeable when the drum solo starts at ~1m.
More goofing off with Flashback's shader editor.

Similar issues w/image quality as the last video. Possibly worse since this is even more frenetic.
Made this while goofing off with Flashback's new shader editor. The video is in 1440p so adjust settings accordingly.
***[ Audio & Motion Warning] ***
YouTube is usually pretty good with image quality, but this video suffered a bit. I'm sure the degree of motion was a challenge.
Currently developing an improved shader system for Flashback. It allows shaders to define their own uniforms w/type, range, defaults, and UI info. It also supports this with #defines via recompile-and-continue.
It's a little hacky but it *really* improves workflow & experimentation. Add a uniform in the editor and it automatically appears in the treeview at the specified place in the hierarchy.
Screen shot is of Flashback's shader editor/tester.
@bornach Nice. If you haven't already, have a look at his color palette generation algorithms.
https://iquilezles.org/articles/palettes/
You can take the basic algorithm and stack n cosine waves with progressively smaller amplitudes/ periods and set their phases out of alignment based on values derived from time. It produces a nice multi-layer flowing effect (or a seizure if your values are too aggressive). :)
I liked how the tutorial on 2D signed distance functions
https://iquilezles.org/articles/distfunctions2d/
colour mapped the SDF values to give the appearance of ripples emanating through space. I tried to design a colour mapping to give a similar effect

With many thanks to @piterpasma and @camilleroux for proposing and supporting this theme, of evident utmost importance among algorithmic art techniques
