@fred @supertran The frustrating thing is that there are several large accounts (like @popehat) who have established themselves over there the past few days with no knowledge of the crazy views of their server admin. I'm replying to this from one of my other accounts accounts because tech.lgbt has already had to defederate from them because their server admin refuses to take action against accounts with account names like "KillAllTheJews"

@ezwal I did that. It seems like it's just server churn on both sides of the instances. I was able to import my follows easily though, and they run a tight ship over there at tech.lgbt

@charlesgaba @goodblue The whole thing screams election interference to me. I'm sort of concerned about what might happen here because it's hard to verify information over here.

@c0nsid3rate @jerry As someone who works in infosec I was super happy to find all of this infosec talent just right out of the box. And a lot of queer infosec people too! SOOO much cool content here. Also, there is an instance for Queer tech people called tech.lgbt. Awesome place, and their servers have been handling the traffic growth much smoother than some of the larger instances.

@shannonrwatts many of the instances have been having a hard time with photos and videos over the past day or two. It depends on how well your instance admin is handling growth. I know for mastadon.social (which is different than your mstdn.social) was having issues with images and video yesterday, but is a lot better now.
