In today’s “terminology matters”:
❌ Return To Office policy: middle-management language that assumes “office” is a neutral position, we’re somehow “returning to”. This term has been carefully crafted by corporate strategists to sound as palatable as possible.
✅ Mandatory Commute policy: centers the outcome for workers - spending hours each day on an unpaid commute to and from the office just so we can be on video calls all day.
We don’t just have to accept hostile framing.
For no specific reason (but many reasons nonetheless): fuck Eric Adams.

In the US, it is a crime not to participate in the capitalist labor and housing markets.
You *must* sell your labor to capitalists for wages, and you *must* pay some of those wages to capitalists who own housing or control access to credit.
If you do not, you could be arrested and imprisoned, during which time the state is free to force you to labor for yet other capitalists for their profit.
The r/COVID19positive subreddit has more posts today than I’ve seen for 90% of the days I’ve looked at it, and I’ve been tracking it for over a year. Fuck.
Anyone know what this lil sub-shrub might be? It's a vigorous lil guy, about 6-10" high x maybe a foot currently, and tends to spread. The leaves are maybe 1-1.5" long. It's evergreen in 8B. It was here when we moved in, and I subsequently found it once on some non-obvious plant site and DIDN'T THINK TO WRITE DOWN what is was 🤦♀️
