A lot of clinicians seem to think that if patients don't come back they got better🤦‍♀️...when you are chronically ill, just getting care & explaining your complex medical history is *exhausting*...plus having to fight to be believed that your symptoms are real is *excruciating.*

I spent a lot of time on Solaris & SPARC machines in the 90s, almost went to work for Sun twice (one of them’s easily a 4 beer & a cab home story) and they were among the most reliable computers I worked on (including several DEC11s & a slew of Tektronix workstations (don’t laugh, there’re a couple more stories there).

Oh, you’re right. That’s the fundamental difference between conservatives (including far right wingnuts) and liberals: conservatives can’t conceive of the idea that any human being could have different motives and morals from them, liberals can.

I feel like part of why the right is so susceptible to moral panics about “the libs are coming for your X” is that they very much do want to come for other people’s X and assume everyone must work that way.

They want to come for your social safety net, your gender affirming care, your right to not be discriminated against in the workplace, your reproductive rights, your diet, your media, your non-conservative Christian religion or lack thereof, your identity.
