Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads were all down

Facebook went down worldwide on Tuesday morning, along with Instagram, Messenger, and Threads. Around noon ET, access to the services was improving.

@consolegrl It's saddening to see this is just a small patch for those who didn't couldn't move engines could continue to use Unity and release their game, but to finally answer your question. I am awfully watchful. I got spoiled by #godotengine but if I stick to #unity3d for #TheDreamersPrincess, it very well might be the last project indie project I make with Unity.

While I like Unity and used it for the last 7 years, there ARE Greener pastures with less finicky foundations.

@consolegrl
Having said that, it makes it difficult to continue if it means once you grow to medium, you'll pay more than twice the royalties of Epic Games. Until you grow to over 15-20 devs. At that point, how much are you paying before it eases down? And again this is with the current Policies that they revised. -- Which was only done after so many people left Unity for anoter engine. Now Unity has maybe a third? a quarter of their user base? [2/??]

@consolegrl It's quite difficult to say to be honest. My game's target audiance is a bit niche but has seen a lot of positive reception from people who usually aren't said audience.

While I would like a console release, the new policies makes it rough for small-medium studios to sustain themselves, however if you're big or less than 4 devs, you SHOULD be fine, and thats even with the new 2023 LTS releases.

Just in case, I'm doing a test proj. on #GodotEngine to learn how I reimplement certain parts of #TheDreamersPrincess, 'cause like many others, if #UnityEngine doesn't roll back the changes, I'll port the game over.
