"waah waaah mastodon is slow and glitchy sometimes, how can you bear it"

bitch I grew up with dial up. I scrolled endlessly through the hampster dance, half the jpegs broken. I spent an hour looking for and downloading a simple mp3. I waited my 54 minutes to continue watching a ropey stream of true blood with unsynced audio. I still use tumblr. you are like tiny baby

Tree's up... and through.
Dad joke. I know, it’s a bad hobbit of mine.

I haven’t posted on Twitter in 4 days, ever since I came here. When I look at it now, it’s strange for me to see so many people continuing to make content and work for Elon Musk, who is clearly a bigot and totally insane.

@grumpygamer

I'm gonna risk tagging here, if @aras is open for requests for more emoji options? A Threepwood one would be nice.

I'd like some representation emoji (IE: nonbinary)

On Return to Monkey Island we had a publisher milestone every few months on a Friday and we gave the whole team the following Monday off with Pay. There was no loss of productivity.
Pro-tip: If you're a boss or manager, don't send email, Slacks, etc, outside of business hours. You might not intend them to be responded to until start of work, but it send a subtile message of "I'm working at 11pm or on the weekend, why aren't you?"

At a meta level, something I find mildly interesting is how many people are writing stuff on Mastodon about how it's impossible for Mastodon to scale up without using an ad supported model (b/c server costs), it's better to have ranked feeds because most people want them, etc.

The thing I think is interesting is that the people writing this stuff, implicitly, seemingly cannot conceive of a model where the organization is not growth and profit maximizing.
