This is an impressive documentary on organized crime in Vancouver.

At first, I thought the narrator—a Brit—would be glorifying this life. But he’s actually quite exhaustive, and explains the history in great detail, presenting the facts as they happened.

I vividly remember the height of the Punjabi mafia since Bindy Johal was quite a celebrity when I was in high school. His death was truly shocking because everyone thought he was untouchable.

The war between the UN Gang and Red Scorpions was also a notorious moment. This one hits close to home because of the Surrey Six Massacre. One of the victims was an innocent bystander, Ed Schellenberg, who was someone I knew.

What gets me about these assholes is that they didn’t get into crime because they were born into poverty. A good many of them were rich white kids from Abbotsford.

In many ways, crime is worse now because extortion is getting out of hand. So many regular folk—unconnected to gangs—are finding their homes and businesses shot up.

👏 Helped eliminate 150 invaders: 19-year-old Russian soldier defected to Ukraine

A 19-year-old soldier of the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 150th Division, Artem, helped the Defense Forces destroy Russian equipment.

He contacted the "I Want to Live" project in mid-November 2025.

Artem is a 19-year-old native of Novosibirsk, he was drafted into military service despite studying at a higher educational institution.

He is currently fighting in the Russian Volunteer Corps.
