I want to highlight two fun bits from this week’s episode of @atpfm https://atp.fm/683
First, we put the “hands on” into our very touchy-feely report about the MacBook Neo (starts at 24:00)
https://overcast.fm/+BQnv4MC0jU/24:00
But the real star of the episode is @marcoarment’s amazing story of how he, as a lone developer, created a transcripts feature for @overcastfm to compete with the similar feature in Apple Podcasts. You do not want to miss this one. (starts at 54:46)
Is there any way I can make Google Maps stop showing hotel prices for Super.com, and basing the displayed map-pin prices on them?
It's literally ALWAYS fake. Every time.
It is never actually available at that price. It's a total scam.
And it makes Google Maps really hard to use, and trust, for hotel searches.

You don’t need to understand crypto to love the Citation Needed newsletter. (I’m proof.) Molly White illuminates the ways America (and, by extension, the rest of us) are victims of the scam. It’s potentially a daunting topic, but the depth of her research, clarity, and analysis is astonishing.
Highly recommend. (I usually listen to the audio version as a podcast.)
My mom (in her 70s) is always asking me questions about AI, so last time I was home I showed her how Claude Code works so we could vibecode a Wordle clone together. I also showed how I would normally write code in an editor to make a few final tweaks.
When we were done she said, “I had no idea what you did for a living was so boring.”
