@leoncowle @siracusa I agree. I have many questions and would be interested in seeing performance in less controlled situations, but I think many here are reacting to the use of AI, not the images themselves. The side by sides look like what you get when a game gets remastered.
@christ @leoncowle @siracusa you can make an argument for the faces being more detailed, but look at the shadows on the buildings—they’re crushed and flattened out. The whole scene is brighter at the cost of any mood or, frankly, realism. Large structures don’t seem to cast any shadows at all anymore. Specular highlights disappear, textures are smoothed out. It’s like an over-HDRed image. I couldn’t believe every time the presenters said the landscape looked better when so much of what made it rich and interesting was suddenly averaged out and over-exposed.
