Just a guy searching for a better digital world…
@gloriouscow it’s actually really simple and you can disable anti-aliasing, which makes it completely indistinguishable from actual pixel art.
You can do a lot more to increase the effect (toom shaders etc.) but really all you have to do is change the render dimensions to be really small (e.g 32x32, 16x16, depending on how simple you want) and then scale it back up in compositing and disable anti-aliasing.
@elekis c’est une modélisation hard surface très impressionnante
(dèsolè pour la francais mauvais)
@trebach @dansup And the struggle of any legal system is "how do you make it strong enough it can’t be abused, but still work when it should"
@nuwagaba2 @dansup the debate of censorship has been huge in the US since the 60’s. Most people hear "censorship" and automatically say it’s bad. But it’s not inherently bad. There is bad censorship, but there’s also good censorship.
For example, if somebody is using free speech to threaten somebody, and therefore restricting that person’s free speech, that’s not free speech for everyone.
The problem is when the US implemented free speech, the abuse of it was not a foreseeable issue.
@dansup it’s similar in the US, at least with defamation. But I believe that’s a civil case, so defamation happens all the time without consequence
@dancrescentwolf you don’t have to be technically trained to have natural skill 🤷‍♂️
@ChaosKitsune there is also likely a number of user made texture brushes for pixel art in 4. I’d just look that up. If you don’t know how to download brushes, Ryan King has a great tutorial on it
@dancrescentwolf I mean, it’s cool for an abstract piece and you clearly know what you’re doing with lighting lol
@ChaosKitsune I don’t know of any plugins… I do know Blender 5 has pixel brushes, but I haven’t tried them so idk if they’re any good.
This doesn’t offer pixel specific control, but what I do is make the render dimensions very small and disable anti-aliasing. This will give you a pixel art effect, but if you’re going for a more voxely style, idk if that’ll achieve what you want.
But you can always give it a try at least 🤷‍♂️
Just a little about me:
I like tech, especially robotics and game design as well as AI. I’m also an artist of many mediums including 2D traditional and digital, 3D, as well as music (mainly singing) and writing.
And yes, I like both AI and I am an artist. I think AI can be a fantastic tool, but I don’t think it has a place in art. Art is about human expression. I just wanted to make that clear.
But AI can be a great tool for other things. It’s not good or bad, it’s about how people use it.
