Knitting, nature and rugby
I finally finished #TheWheelofTime books (it took me a year and a half). I feel strangely bereft without the characters. I find myself wishing there was a longer a wrap up of all the characters. After how epic and lengthy a series it was, it did weirdly feel rushed at the end.

As a lifelong Tolkien nerd, I love this feel of anticipation from what I know will happen mixed with the suspense coming from all the new original parts.
But even if all you know is the Peter Jackson movies, you should watch it if you're not doing so yet.

Helen CzerskiSo many difficult, depressing & complex things in the news just now, so here are is a photo from Wilson Bentley's brilliant 1904 raindrop study. If you hold out a tray with flour on it, the raindrops that fall on it will get coated, then absorb the flour, then make a little dough ball the same size the raindrop was. He did this for lots of storms to see how raindrop sizes varied.
Nature is still ace. And you can still measure your own raindrops.
