Today's cursed cable:
RJ14 to... uh, Ground Lug.
Despite the odd choice of connectors this is actually somewhat clever. It is a temperature sensor for the compensation circuit in a Lead Acid Battery Charger. By potting the temp sensor in the ground lug it allows for very easy installation on M6/8 battery screw terminals and accurate measurements at the battery post.
