I hope that more people realize that corporations are not their allies, these companies just follow the money, they don't care about egality, inclusion and diversity. They support these movements as long as is beneficial for them.

so, let me get this straight: if i embed these names in all my web pages, ChatGPT won’t be able to plagiarize the content?

i mean, this would be an amazing thing to put into practice, since these companies don’t respect robots.txt anyways.

this wouldn’t be poisoning the data. it would be more like embedding guardian angels onto your web pages.

Certain names make ChatGPT grind to a halt, and we know why

Mastodon is my primary social media, and there’s a lot I dig about it. But if there’s one thing I’d like to change, it’s the way people say THIS IS A CRISIS RIGHT NOW AND IT’S THE MAIN CRISIS AND IF YOU DON’T DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT RIGHT NOW YOU’RE BAD AND WRONG!!!

Know what? It’s *your* crisis. Do what you think is right. Stop judging others for having different priorities, political or otherwise. Quit putting everything in black and white, absolute terms. It’s exhausting, and nobody can live like that.

I wanted to address Reddit's continued, provably false statements, as well as answer some questions from the community, and also just say...

It's a real shame that Reddit seems to care this little about the community that rather than making an effort to talk to developers and moderators and apologize for how this was handled, they'd rather just wall themselves off and and dare users to keep going. https://www.theverge.com/2023/6/13/23759559/reddit-internal-memo-api-pricing-changes-steve-huffman
