Threads already has more than 30 million users, but that doesn’t mean it’s sure to displace Twitter.
We shouldn’t forget Meta is a terrible company with a long history of spreading right-wing propaganda. Plus, if Threads succeeds, it will be filled with targeted ads just like Facebook and Instagram are now. We can do better.

so it looks like police in santa monica are using expensive dji aircraft to deploy to crime scenes in as little as 30 seconds after a 911 call is placed, to gather video/audio/intel regarding the call before cops arrive.
and all I can think of is that they're sending a flying parcel of ~$30k or so, and i guarantee they arent technical enough to stop interception/takeover.

I'm really glad the first wave #TwitterMigration already happened so those folks could learn about the Mastodon HOA and warn the people in the latest migration to just ignore them.
The first time there was all this pearl clutching & Twitter migrants were like oh my heavens yes let's try to fit in and then a lot of them gave up after being tsk-tsked by dork ass losers. Those that remained here are immune to that shit now and can vaccinate everyone else with our antibodies.
