@JeniParsons Love the smell of honey and wax cappings in the kitchen! Ours is too cold for your setup to work but I've got a fruit press that does the job fairly well. Then I rinse them off with water to get at those gorgeous white flakes. :D

@JeniParsons Yeah, there's a little plywood frame feeder in that nuc that I'll try to shove some fondant into.

Fingers crossed for a tidy start to the year! :D

@JeniParsons I often leave one super on each anyway, but this year I made sure all the frames were full of capped honey.

Three's a nice, managable number! :) I meant to combine mine before autumn, but didn't get the chance to.

I've got one nuc that I'm a bit worried about as I don't have any supers for that particular nuc box model, but otherwise they all seemed fine going into winter. Who knows what it will look like in spring with the constantly changing weather we are having now though!

@JeniParsons I didn't take any honey off mine this year. They didn't produce that much honey, but they never starved either, unlike a lot of colonies around here, so they clearly did better than most. I've left them one full super each for winter. I got enough left from last year anyway. :)

@Beedazzled After two strawberries, she ought to be full though, surely? :D

@nic I misread the beginning of that and thought you were about to share some cool quirk about Welsh grammar or a place name or something.

I've managed to make two people realise that perhaps it's not such a nice thing to do, but on the whole it's not worth the effort.

@sheepnik Agreed! :D
𐑣𐑧𐑤𐑴 𐑢𐑻𐑤𐑛! — I’ve enjoyed learning the #Shavian #alphabet for English over the past three evenings. Next challenge is to read Bernard #Shaw’s book “Androcles & The Lion” in his alphabet. Interesting backstory too.
@falkowata @Malwen I don't get on very well with digital flashcards anyway, so will not bother, but it's good to know that that option exists if someone asks.
