@SaintlySin made the most incredible celebration dinner last night with Juicy Marbles steaks (https://juicymarbles.com/) and La Fauxmagerie Brixton Blue cheese sauce (https://lafauxmagerie.co.uk/) and if I hadn't known I honestly would not have been able to tell these weren't animal products from the taste and texture. There really is no need to eat meat* when vegan alternatives are this good.

*unless obviously you have a health issue that requires you to.

It's pretty wild out there folks, #StormIngrid just quite literally blew my glasses off my face and across the road which has never happened before in all my years of being a speccy nerd. @SaintlySin had to chase them and retrieve them from the opposite gutter before a bus ran over them.
Imagine if people acted in real life like they do on social media... you could be casually having a chat with your mate about how you need to pop to Tesco or that you heard a new Aldi opened down the road and some random sticks their head in to say "I like Sainsburys" and then just carries on their way.
It does baffle me (for reference I'm Pagan, so looking at this from the outside, in) that many of the folks suddenly claiming to be Christian would dismiss Jesus' teachings as "woke nonsense" if he really did return and would just crucify him all over again.

In many ways 2025 was hard: it kicked off with Charlie getting severe whiplash in January, our landlord sold our flat and gave us 2 months notice, we got horrible flu twice and a couple of the cats needed expensive dental surgery. But it was still the best year of my life because @SaintlySin and I got married, the wedding itself was beautiful and marrying her was the best thing I've ever done. And being together made all the tough bits easier.

Hoping for a calmer 2026 though.

Often, if something fun, joyful, funny etc happens I will ask @afewbugs to write about it in the friend group chat, not because I want to brag about how much fun we have, but so that I can see how she experienced that moment. Same with alt text for pictures, I like to ask her to write it as it shows me her perspective and feelings on it. It's my way of seeing our story, through her eyes. It's lovely.

Ever wanted to be a melodrama villain and tie that pesky lady to the train tracks for avoiding your advances? Good news! The trains now have all you need for just that! Conveniently located next to the toilet 😆
Spent a small amount of time trapped in the toilets at the station this morning. Not physically trapped, the door was fine and lock wasn't jammed... another woman came in and farted so I giggled, then I realised I can't come out whilst she is still there so had to wait for her to leave 😂
A very special delivery today... my wedding dress! This is all that will be public until the big day!
@afewbugs I can't wait to marry you!
