Looking at writing talks over on platforms like thread I feel like a lot has changed in the 6 yrs I was incapacitated with looking after my mum and illness and family stuff but also that there is being a lot of history revision over genres and the history of writing coming from the US Not sure if this means I am a grumpy old person now or if I have literally missed the memo! What does the Mastodon #writingcommunity think is the biggest difference for the last 5 or so yrs?

The @kitten_tech tells me it is #FungiFriday so here are 4 different fubgu thibgs from 4 different outing! First off there are these black lines in a felled tree I saw today which I believe is caused by the interface of fungi and creates these lovely patterning so looked for by wood turners. Then a cluster of different types of bracket fungi including green ones! From Barnwood Arboretum. Both lots in Gloucester. Then a Kind Alfreds Cake so called as they look burnt and harks back to the story a out King Alfred whilst on the run falling asleep and burning the old ladies cakes she’d asked him to watch! From Coleford in The Blagrave. Then some bueatifully elegent mushrooms from Thames Chase in Essex
Life is lifing or rather isn’t as it currently involvs two funerals and the sad demise of our lovely CircuitBoard the most opinionated bunny in the universe m and that’s before we get to the bankruptcies that are costing me a lot of my free lance work and medical stuff on top.
