Somebody I imagined: "You can't just post a picture of someone's #ear and expect people to get it!"
Me: ...
@shibayashi you got this. I believe that you can accomplish anything if you just believe that you can. You have everything that you need to accomplish all of your goals within you already. Go out there and just believe in yourself.
@KLB if there was another that the admin wanted to be on, maybe they would volunteer. But because they felt that they could do better, or provide a space for the niche that they would like to host, then they make their own. That's what's great about this place, if you don't like an instance you can just go to another or make your own. You are under no obligation to stay on one that you do not feel comfortable on to remain connected with the same people. Not you, not anybody. That's why it works.
Day 2 and 2 shifts without #sleep. Not going for a third! It’s fucking #bedtime!
@klaasl I’m interested specifically in a PoE connected IP camera good for night and day time recording. I’m totally planning to run the cabling for this and I want to manage my own security feed and recorded data.
@ehasbrouck @jim why when people can simply use proper browser addons or browser app on phone to stop it? Why should it be the instance and moderation responsibility to filter links for things that many people would either a) not care about; or b) have something to negate it already? Food for thought.
@tdee watching #Twitter is almost like a reality tv show except instead of being called "Jersey Shore" maybe like, "Hosting off Shore", or "Desperate Billionaires of Silicon Valley", "Keeping up with the Has-Been", "West Coast Job-Choppers" ... uhh... idk let's think of more together?
#lighthouse #cookies anyone? #baking and.. kind of? #nsfw
@baslow alright I'll go queef about it right now.
@Hyolobrika @stux I don't think it would destroy it either. I think that it would create a significant split in migrating users and slow the shift towards it by creating a divide between open & community driven vs proprietary platforms funded by corporate entities.
