The fiber of the paper is so cool, and shows up so well in the overexposed areas when it's against a dark background; but it's more of an image if the background is light, if that makes sense?
Here's the first mulberry paper lift that I tried, to demonstrate. On the one hand I love how the sky disappears in the right-hand image, but on the other hand it feels distractingly busy. Grateful for any thoughts you might have!

I figured out a new process for lifting onto mulberry paper!
• I placed the wet paper onto a flat smooth surface (back of a cookie sheet in this case)
• I positioned the image layer on it, trying to anticipate the degree to which it would spread out
• And smoothed it with a gentle stream of tap water
This solved the problem of the paper being too delicate and flimsy to lift!
