I have a plug that you click down to plug and click down to unplug. Well it's stuck. Completely jammed. Anyone have any ideas about how this could be unjammed as this is a one bathroom house and I'm panicking

My grandad has been clearing out a few bits and asked if this old spotting scope would do as a makeshift 'telescope' for R. Included was a 1970's style 'Planisphere' plotter. Took me a bit to set up but had a perfect view out of my bedroom window of the moon and Venus.
Oh you should have heard his squeak of delight! "The real craters mummy the real ones not in a picture, really there!!"
