And just like that—surprise!—one AI company bails out another AI company's grift. Google agreeing to rent compute from xAI (cough, "SpaceX") magically makes them eligible for inclusion in the S&P500.

Americans, they are looting your life savings, the ones you earned through labour that they are gleefully replacing. Your descendants will never have the chance you had.

We have to understand something very fucking real: If he said this about a foreign country, and then did a "training" exercise right in one of their major cities, it would be an act of war, because it is. The federal government is definitively at war with the citizens. This is not ICE. This is the military.

This is what he said in September: https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5528730-trump-military-training-cities-crime-crackdown/

Night before last, the military conducted "training" in Long Beach in the middle of the night, and only sent out a text to warn residents at 10pm. They set off explosions and played with gunfire sounds and invaded a mall.

In September, Trump said he would do this. He said he would do it to prepare for going to war with Blue cities.

And now he has done it. Now he has indicated that war with blue cities is imminent. It's the only conclusion to be drawn, because that's what he said, and (2)

Guys, we knew screw worm was headed north. We knew it would get here, absent profound mitigation efforts. We CHOSE to not help Mexico control it. We CHOSE to not prepare. We could have been producing and releasing millions of sterile flies daily, at a cost much less than the collapse of the Texas beef industry, but again, we CHOSE to focus on racist nazi nonsense instead. Trump, Abbot, and their goons own this, full stop. (Also, fuck the guys who voted for their own demise…)

The American Diabetes Association has ejected from its annual meeting the editor-in-chief of its journal Diabetes Care, its former president, and three other scientists, for handing out reprints of an editorial published in the journal and critical of the US government's attacks on science: https://arstechnica.com/science/2026/06/scientists-ejected-from-diabetes-conference-for-distributing-journal-reprints/ . According to video evidence the ejected scientists "were not disruptive or disorderly in their conduct". Nevertheless, the ADA claims that this behavior constituted a violation of the association's code of conduct.

The editorial in question: "Misguided Brushes of a Pen Continue to Dismantle and Destroy Biomedical Research in the United States: We Can No Longer Afford Complacency and Fear. We Must All Act Now!", _Diabetes Care_, http://dx.doi.org/10.2337/dci26-0068

On this 82nd anniversary of D-Day, remember: The way we wonder why Germans didn’t stop Hitler is exactly how the rest of the world views Americans and Trump today.
