@olaolarolla @DrBrainNerd keeping your mouth shut WHILE leaving the room. Perfection.
@GandalfDG make sure to store the filter in a ziplock bag to prolong the usefulness of the absorbent elements. They carry on absorbing 'stuff' even when you're not using them otherwise, and then don't work as well when you need them.

@Gazimoff you don't have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

Your wife has cards..

@Stark9837 @GavinCampbell @[email protected] park an old phone/tablet on the printer connected to the app/interface of your choice. Job done, no fuss, and no extra hardware to buy.

@Natanox @infosecdj that makes complete sense. Filament curling UP towards the nozzle is caused by a partial clog. Definitely more common on smaller diameter nozzles, and if you have additives which aren't making it out, then you have perfect conditions for clogging.

Maybe running it hotter will help, but not nearly as much as a bigger diameter nozzle.

@infosecdj I'm not up with the state of touchscreen support in Marlin lately - I know some people were working on reverse engineering it back when I went Klipper instead. Maybe they've worked it out by now.

Also very worth looking into Klipperscreen as a way to keep your existing screen working.

China doesn't care about GPL, patents, copyright, quality control or much else that we take for granted. Never have, probably never will. They only want your money.

@Stark9837 @[email protected] the secret to leveling is to fix the poor engineering which makes it necessary.

Solid (metal) bed spacers, no springs, and properly tuned v roller tension.

Haven't leveled mine in nearly 2 years. I have a bltouch, but it's only function is as a glorified z-home switch now.

@sol_hsa it definitely needs supports! You might win a bit of time and material by modelling a sacrificial self supporting 'ring' just below your spikey ball, and having the spike supports build off of that? Or see what printing it on its side does for you. Organic/tree supports if you're not already.
@infosecdj just use your smartphone with any of a number of different available interfaces. It's a touchscreen, with the added advantage of not being attached to your printer. So you can use it in a different room. Or with a little more effort, while you're not even home.
@infosecdj it's very unlikely you ever will. Either run a pure (non-creality) Marlin build if you don't have a touch screen, or just make the bigger jump to Klipper, and you'll be much happier (also faster, smoother, more in control, and with more features)
