Does advertising really work?
Everyone I know mutes TV ads when they come on.
Everyone I know uses ad-blockers online.
I avoid sites that say 'You can't view this site unless you turn off your ad-blocker.'
And some ads are so annoying &/or repetitive that I refuse to use the product on principle.
@jenniferplusplus @alice This may be just me, but I don't like closed/limited options or it's not like real life. What about if I want to examine the door, ignore it, if there's a key, can I lock it, etc. Is there anything written on the door? Life isn't a series of simple yes/no options and I quickly get bored with games/surveys that treat it like that. Sorry, not trying to be awkward and I understand how your suggested terminology may help things along, but personally it puts me off interacting with anything written like that.
@nixCraft
This is "Draig", it's Welsh for Dragon. He's very intelligent and very friendly unless you're a squirrel
@raymaccarthy @redsad Exactly - for the want of a full stop. Or perhaps even an exclamation mark...
@foliumcreations Fantastic! I remember doing the same thing back in 1997 I think. I had a laptop running SCO UNIX I was using. Someone else wanted to do something on it. So I left them to use the laptop itself whilst I connected my Psion via an RS232 cable and logged in and worked on said laptop via that. Thank you for bringing back a great memory!
@adhdeanasl I loved it. It was close enough to the animation that it didn't disappoint. Alas I've never read the books. Is it okay for a 57 year old to live these movies?!
