Well the worlds have started so it’s time for a #curling #knitting update! I will probably finish the lobster chart this weekend !

It was a warm birthday weekend. 45 trips around the sun, and I feel like my body is healthier than any trip before. My mind well…we are still working on that. #running

I finished, finally, the JiJi cardigan pattern I started last May. I wanted a simple, neutral coloured garment that I could wear year round. The problem was miles of plain stockinette not knit in the round, and multiple pick ups / tubular cast offs on a 1X1 slip stitch rib band…not to mention trying to find buttons! It was both too boring and too complicated 🤣 just waiting for it to dry now. Yarn is lovely, from Gathering Brook Farm. #knitting

Yesterday I had slept poorly, was stressed, and felt awful. My training plan had me running a critical velocity workout. Instead of pushing through, I switched up for an easy run and did the CV workout today. Yesterday, that easy run was a slog and I barely made it through. With a good nights sleep and food, I felt strong on the CV run. Remembering to be flexible and listen to my body is something I’ve been practicing! #running

I am so proud of myself. Second month in a row where I maintained consistency in my training with no injuries. Only one missed run, and that was because my body needed the break so I listened. #running

Today’s long run ruined once again by the bike stalker. Pulled one of his own tricks, hid in a parking lot and caught him on video. Sent my partner after him in our car and he followed him home…police report going in on this asshole. Why can I just run in peace?? #running #safety

In happier news, my running shorts that I made worked really well. The next pair I will shorten slightly in the front but they were super comfortable and cool in this humidity.
