For years we talked about adding pots of flowers to the nursery to pretty it up a little bit. This year we added a bunch of them in front and a few big sunflowers in the back. Next year I think we will do a line of tall sunflowers and other flowers across the whole back perimeter of the nursery.

We are now in the last weeks of our season here, so this is the time to get plants, especially since nearly everything is on sale.

Since we cater to outdoor cultivators, we typically sell out sometime in late July. there is still enough veg time left in the season for these plants to produce multiple pounds in the hands of an experienced gardener.

We'll likely only be doing a couple more deliveries this year, since pretty soon all the plants will be too big to fit in the truck.

The folks at Urban Farm Oasis in Berkeley have graciously let us use their place as the pick up location, so if you need urban farming, gardening, beekeeping or chicken supplies, give them some support and tell them we sent you.

The nursery it's looking pretty nice this afternoon. We still have our sale on the really tall plants, the ones the winds keeps blowing over. We have a small crew this year and I had to do some irrigation pond water management, so didn't make it to the NoKings protest today, alas.

Even though cannabis is legal in California, there is a faction of religious right wing extremists who want to go back to the Nancy Reagan days of "just say no." If it went to the Supreme Court as a state's rights case, we can probably guess how that would go right now.

Mentioning this because there are a lot of people in the cannabis world who want to pretend they're apolitical, as if they've forgotten the whole War on Drugs ever existed, or they assume that it will never come back.
