A voice actor who licensed his voice to IBM in 2005 for use in a satellite navigation system found out the rights have been resold to an AI company that allows people to use his voice with their content.
He’s effectively losing work to his own voice powered by AI.
This is hilarious. It appears that Twitter is DDOSing itself.
The Twitter home feed's been down for most of this morning. Even though nothing loads, the Twitter website never stops trying and trying.
In the first video, notice the error message that I'm being rate limited. Then notice the jiggling scrollbar on the right.
The second video shows why it's jiggling. Twitter is firing off about 10 requests a second to itself to try and fetch content that never arrives because Elon's latest genius innovation is to block people from being able to read Twitter without logging in.
This likely created some hellish conditions that the engineers never envisioned and so we get this comedy of errors resulting in the most epic of self-owns, the self-DDOS.
Unbelievable. It's amateur hour.

Reddit is now deleting memes and comments insulting its CEO for violating their content policy.

I want to expand more on the comedy of errors that led to the eviction of #Twitter from their Boulder, Colorado office.
The story that leads up to this building even existing is bizarre and hilarious, so here goes...
A thread 🧵
Context: from an article explaining that this woman — who objected to a poem read at Biden’s inauguration being available in the school library - also “accidentally” posted stuff about the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
"It’s entirely likely that you could put the media careers of Mohammed Ali and Andy Warhol back to back, and the total amount of airtime and ink would almost certainly be exceeded by Donald Trump on any given Tuesday. No one—no one in America, no one in the world—was really short of an opportunity to see, hear, or sharpen their understanding of Donald Trump."
