Tim Sherratt#Trove uses MARC GeographicArea codes to record spatial information in metadata. I couldn't find any mappings between the MARC codes and other systems, so I used OpenRefine to reconcile them with WikiData and add in ISO country codes, coordinates, and GeoNames ids.
