If Trump had centered his campaign around a political agenda, Democrats changing candidate would not matter.

But instead Trump spent millions trying to convince the American people to vote for him, because the Democratic candidate was too old — and now he finds himself running against a candidate 19 years younger than himself.

This is perfect.

If Biden had announced he was not running for re-election and made way for Harris, or if the Dems had had a proper primary process and someone else had become the candidate, they would not have created this momentum. It would have been mundane business as usual.

They couldn't have scripted this better.

Biden's crash, Harris stepping up like the main hero of a movie rising to the occasion in a montage scene has created momentum.
