@xotypeco @litherland we should definitely ask him tho just to be sure.. If the only cue he had was it’d be about freedom of speech, I get that in the 80’s and the 90’s, it was a sentiment that was also present on the left. Xs have such a different political upbringing than millennials. It’s like these alt liberals from yesterday that pushed against the church censorship and who rebelled against mainstream are all libertarian centrists now (Maher, Fry, Gervais, etc.)

@triple @litherland @sajatype I think that’s an important discussion to have at the start of this. I totaly get everyone’s point and if I may share my opinion I’d say that we are not all on here because we love open source communities. I feel like a lot of us new on here were presented Mastodon as an alternative to the blue bird of shame. I totaly accept any community code that comes with such a change but we have to be patient with each other!
