Remember those catalogs your grandma used to get that were filled with tchotchkes like crocheted toilet paper roll covers and odd little magazine holders and huge magnifiers with chains to go around your neck?
A company called Temu has been buying cheap ads in the internet that remind me of those catalogs. I am SO PUZZLED by some of their products that I *have* to click through to find out what they are.
This item apparently goes around the faucet on your kitchen sink.

It just so happens that December 1987 was a real outlier.
So I decided to make a trend line from December 1988, just one year later.

The idea is that public health measures against Covid are not a one-and-done thing.
The Biden administration has concentrated on vaccines, and vaccines alone, since January 2021. Now they are switching to emphasize ventilation upgrades. They have consistently either avoided masking entirely, or downplayed it.
Take cars. Are brakes alone enough? No. Seat belts? No. Stronger frames? No. Cars have suites of safety measures.
Why not Covid?
