I've been kicking around learning #esperanto and I'm curious from anyone that's learned it, have you found much opportunity to use it, are there many speakers here on Mastodon, and do you have any resources that you'd suggest to someone who does not have any experience with non-English language?

Does anyone else wrestle with the social part of social media? Like I don't feel like I have anything meaningful to contribute. Despite being an extroverted person, I find myself sitting on the sidelines and in-taking everyone else's content. This isn't limited to Mastodon, but every media I partake in.
