@samuel_wade Five of those years are somehow mine.

@PJ_Evans I don't think Jack has an ownership interest in BlueSky though? He is/was on the board, but it's not clear what that means in terms of his ability to exert any control b/c their governing documents aren't public as far as I know. On a personal level, he's said he doesn't really like BlueSky and he seems to spend his social media time on Nostr.

Anyway, plenty of reasons not to use BlueSky if one prefers not to, just not sure that's one of them.

@jqheywood @Popehat Which billionaire?
@Colarusso thank you for checking, explaining, and providing those resources! Super helpful. And also good to know that it's not me. I guess I will continue to send in requests to the SCOTUS webmaster to fix them.

Can anyone confirm me whether this link is just not a valid RSS feed?

https://www.supremecourt.gov/rss/cases/22-942.xml

Edit: Trying to figure out if I'm right that the feed links are broken or if I'm just doing something wrong when I get to subscribe.

@Colarusso sorry I meant to include an image to give you a sense of what I'm talking about in case you have no idea. Talking about the RSS links like in this example.
@Colarusso hope you don't mind me reaching out, but you seem pretty knowledgeable about RSS and I'm wondering if you can help me figure out if the RSS feeds for SCOTUS docket pages are broken or if I'm just doing something wrong when trying to subscribe? Copying the RSS link included on the page and adding that URL to Feedly pushes a link to the docket page, a link to it's XML page, and a link to it's JSON data but I've never gotten an update to a case.
@design_law I just finished The Golden Enclave and I don't remember the last time I tore through a series this quickly. The last fantasy I read was, I think, the Game of Thrones series and the Scholomance books were like the polar opposite in every way. Really did not expect anything that optimistic and uplifting when I started A Dangerous Education. And The Golden Enclave really unexpectedly touched on some stuff I grapple with as a parent. Thanks for putting the recommendation out, back when.
@tiamat271 @GottaLaff @mattblaze I'm still aghast and frankly pissed about that, even as someone who has never been asked to add a CW because I don't post much and no one sees my posts anyway, because there are plenty of people who might have legit reasons for wanting CWs and it's hard to take requests seriously when people are out there asking for shit like that.
@tiamat271 @GottaLaff @mattblaze I went into the post history of the (first? was there more than one?) person who asked Matt to CW black and white photos and the explanation they had given in an earlier post was simply that they think many black and white photos are done in B&W to give an artsy feel because the photos otherwise lack artistic merit and, merits of that aside, I still cannot fathom the audacity of asking someone else to add content warnings purely because of aesthetic preferences.
