*Me, walking down the street, minding my business*

Random woman: "You ain't Blind. Get the fuck away from me."

Me (nonplussed): "But I *AM* Blind."

Woman (mumbling to herself): "Who the fuck does he think he is... talking to me as if he knows me?"

Still classy as always, Rochester. Ah, how I've missed you.

Hi. Anyone using #Outlook, #MicrosoftExchange, etc. to store contacts noticing that on latest iOS 26 public beta, phone numbers and email addresses of contacts do not appear, and it is impossible to apply the correct labels to new numbers and emails for a contact?
There is a special place in hell for people who use tables in microsoft word just for visual formatting, not for tabular data. Working in a 36 page document with 140 tables.

Here's a thought before I hit the hay tonight:

Often when I bring up an #accessibility concern to someone who is or was part of introducing that concern, the response tends to be a workaround I can use to avoid, sidestep or bypass the concern. While that may unblock me, specifically, I think it's also indicative of a really deeply ingrained thought pattern that many #developers, #designers, #UX personnel etc. are stuck in.
You see, I don't bring up these concerns because I personally am stuck. I bring them up to indicate that by this concern existing, my #disability is actually disabling where it doesn't need to be. In other words, YOU, not my #blindness, are disabling me. And yes I am making this somewhat personal.
It should not be the responsibility of the #disabled person to dodge around and obstacle you created. You made the mess, YOU clean it up, and I shouldn't need to sue you to make that point.

Ok, bedtime, baii :P

When people say they β€œslept like a baby”,does that mean they woke up 3 times that night screaming and shit their pants?
#JAWSForWindows users, Anyone figured out how to get the usual alt+number shortcuts working properly in the new Outlook? Any help appreciated. Thanks. PS: please don’t tell me to use classic outlook. #Blind #ScreenReader #BlindMasto #BlindMastodon #BlindFedi @mastoblind
#blind kind of mastodon. Are there any training docs/sites for microsoft suite training? I want to take a look because work things and stuff. Plus it's good to have the know how. Please repost for best reach.
Here's something that I hate: Blindness agencies not teaching people how to functionally and properly use a computer. Seems to me that AT trainers are sticking folks in front of iPads and hoping that's good enough. It's not, and it sets people up for failure when they enter the working world.
