@JoshuaHolland Well, TikTok is heading into that terrible Twitter territory now. I'm barely holding onto that account. It's getting more toxic there and seems like that's where the Magas are gravitating to after the mass exodus of users.

@eniko yeah, I don't know what's up with that. I toggle between both for different reasons. Mastodon is a much quieter vibe with different content, dare I say, more nerdy and Bluesky is like a busy street with lots of people talking at once but also with useful info. I don't understand why not both.

I just wonder how many in the military are going to be willing to re enlist. Contrary to popular belief the US military is very much a plethora of different idealisms. My son just served and got out and I learned a lot from his experiences. I think Trump could possibly lose rather than gain. Instead, he may try to create his own "type" of army which will not go well. These current generals getting ousted could create problems for him.

@MikeImBack what typically can happen, and I really dislike, is that the mortgage carriers will insure the home, but they won't insure for liability or belongings. That indeed will raise the mortgage payments. So yes, in essence it will become even more expensive. I just don't think insurance companies ever considered climate change and have been behind in structuring for that event.
