Since 2013, I have been focused on making more accessible tools & workflows for creating interactive 3D experiences and apps. Prior to that, I was (mostly) a software engineer for 14 years making apps and games.

I have various hobbies that are always changing and evolving. Right now I’m really into overlanding (vehicle based exploration and adventure).

Yikes. I'll never connect my LinkedIn to the GDC event app ever again.

I have empathy for those that are in the BizDev and sales game... but I can't spend my energy politely declining CRM machine driven shotgun blasts.

I think AirPods could be made much cheaper if Apple removed from them the mechanism that, when you drop your case, ejects the earbuds at 500 mph directly under your furniture

My system for staying booked as a contract software developer.

My entire career has been consulting, but since 2003, that's been through my own corporation.

This system is tailored to those looking to do corporate contract gigs through consulting/staffing firms, but lots of it also applies to those doing employment.

But, in this thread, I'm focusing on what I actually do.

I also don't doubt as a more junior dev I have uttered these words myself.

Certainties in life:

Death, taxes, and a random junior developer that *swears* they could build a better version that Big Company app in their spare time in a couple weeks.

Hang in there 🧔

my dumbest but still 100% serious feature wish for mastodon is to someday support italics and bold in a way that’s accessible and works in all clients, it would honestly help me communicate more emotion in text and it sucks we’ve never had it on tiny blog systems like this
