I am really tired of authors writing about historical women's clothing without knowing the first thing about how it was made or worn or laundered or how it felt to wear it. If you can write that much detail about weapons or vehicles or whatever else the hero finds interesting, you could at the very least bother to learn that women could, in fact, draw a deep and comfortable breath while wearing a corset. It feels rather insulting, frankly.
