Our #WritingExchange community has been running for almost eight years! But as our little writing space has grown, so have our hosting costs.
Many members of the community have contributed to help keep this space sustainable -- if you have, thank you so much!
But after catching up on our accounting today, we're essentially back at $0 in our Writing Exchange fund, with only 45% of our annual hosting costs covered by current donors.
You need to have proof of citizenship on you at all times, this may not help but it can't hurt.
If you are able to, notify someone that you are being detained. Have them call up a civil rights lawyer. If possible, figure out who you would want in advance. Your 4th, 5th, and 14th amendment rights are being violated.
Do not talk to ICE without a lawyer present.
If possible, have backups of your proof of citizenship. I have scans of my documents. Do not carry all your paperwork at once, they may try to destroy it. I only carry a drivers license, and leave my passport at home.

Ok, I have a #writing question.
I’m in grad school and dealing with a huge amount of work. It’s a professional program and my computer is tied in my mind to work. I can’t open it and just write. I still have my original little Chromebook that I wrote Aestus on, which might help, but I don’t know if it still works + I really need Word. Any suggestions? I am not rich lol. #WritingCommunity
