I’ve been in Manchester today for the #MarchwithMidwives event - wow what a turnout. Calling for government to:

- fund maternity service properly
- value midwives & families
- invest in social infrastructure

Powerful speeches from MPs, parents, unions, midwives and others. The love band playing in support and a choir too. Everyone acknowledging that this is a crisis.

@garius I'm a potter in the U.S. But since I'm not a production potter & my work is in a gallery, I probably won't have a lot for this holiday season. (oops - poor planning on my part. Should have made a lot more stuff in the past few months...)

I’m feeling hugely indebted to @RussInCheshire for explaining the rise of Farage and UKIP and the prelude to Brexit in a way that only a retrospective could do. Honestly folks, treat yourself to ‘The Decade in Tory’. It’s a huge book but that’s because the last third of an inch is just the comprehensive references.
