@thirdwhaletrip Very true. I’ve had to have 2 new car tyres in the past year. Someone near us put a plastic duck into one here. It enjoyed paddling around after heavy rain.

Have been out on the road bike a couple of times this week, and I spent more time looking down at the road than up ahead. Now I won’t go out after heavy rain as I can’t see what’s a puddle and what’s a pothole. George Osborne’s austerity has more than a lot to answer for.

I have to confess to finding this incomprehensible. OK, I understand the crazies supporting Trump no matter what, but that Republicans who believe in the rule of law and democracy are prepared to vote for him is baffling - and depressing.
