Demand that your members of Congress speak out against Trump’s defiance of the Supreme Court, push for an end to the lawless abductions, and move to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home immediately.

Someone once made the point that people’s willingness to romanticise life in the past is strongly related to which side of the whip they imagine themselves to have been on. I think something similar is true about the present: people who can imagine their own demographic being rounded up and sent to the camps are much less likely to act like 2025 is just another year
Last boost: exactly this. Individual ordinary people do care about climate change but they see a celebrity space trip or the output of Taylor Swift’s private jet and think, what’s the point? Me taking the train to work instead of driving is nothing in the face of what rich people do. I struggle with this myself

free advice I give to anyone who asks these days : LIE to every part of the internet that isn’t a government like you got your first PC in 1993 and were part of eternal September

birthday, name, gender, occupation, location, interests, favourite colour, ALL OF IT

data brokerage gets a whole lot darker under an autocracy, and one of the few things you can somewhat control is the fidelity of *your* data. lie, use disposable/temporary emails whenever you can, and make it muddy af

A good analysis of the Supreme Court ruling and its contradictory implications. I take no pleasure in this being in the Guardian, some of whose transphobic journalists have made it tougher for trans people, both inside and outside the paper.

This is a very tough day for trans people – with a long legal road ahead to right this wrong

The supreme court judgment is contradictory and confused. And there seems no prospect of the Labour government sorting this out, says discrimination barrister Robin Moira White

If you need to move from a #redState to a #blueState because you are #trans or #nonBinary, etc. these folks are offering interest-free #loans.

If you're concerned about ICE, then you'll want to show up at your City or County council and hit the following points -

* Are local police cooperating with ICE?
* Are they following due process?
* What happens when due process isn't followed?
* If ICE isn't following due process, and local police are still coordinating, then how will they keep residents safe?

The Federal government is only a small piece of a complicated machine. Due to a focus on "deregulation" and "shrinking government", the current Federal workforce is smaller than it was during the 1990s.

They have the staff to make rules and oversee processes, but the work of implementing laws is passed down to States. Then, they pass it down to cities or counties, and then cities and counties fight over the money.

Dude white “leftism” pisses me the fuck off. You can’t create class solidarity by abandoning marginalized people.
