I like creating animations and simulations in #blender3d and developing games in #godotengine. I often finish projects years after i started them even if i could probably get the job done in a week.

Arch Linux contains some proprietary firmwares and allows for proprietary packages on the main repos. Parabola is Arch, but fully FOSS! And you can even migrate without reinstalling! The main issue is that most devices will have issues (in my case, no wifi or graphics acceleration). Try it out https://www.parabola.nu/.

I just had another file disappear from my laptop. Another big video file. This can't be the SSD failing, otherwise the system would have died long ago. My laptop is censoring things, even though i'm using a fully libre OS and i "disabled" the PSP (Platform (in)Security Processor) in the BIOS settings. Did i just forget i deleted the file or is my laptop is actually deleting files on it's own?
After a #malware somehow slipped past all of my precautions (firewall, reducing proprietary software to the minimum, not using the AUR if possible, Being careful with downloads etc.), i'm now stuck with my Raspberry. I didn't lose much data due to my backups, altough it might have already been there when i did the latest backup. Will reinstall and avoid getting any potentially dangerous files from it.

Setting the wheels and the body as smoke colliders wasn't a good idea...

I added engines to the Argosy, here is a screenshot.
Now i need to decide what this one should do in the animation. The Argosy isn't too bad of a ship in game so i think it should be one of the ships that try to fight against pirates and not one that just flees away.

I made the materials shiny on the argosy, but for the next animation i'll simply create a 3D model from scratch by myself. It had over 50 materials of which almost all duplicates (i even found a couple that had 8 identical copies!!!) and had to fix everything manually. And i have to do the same treatment to at least 6 other ship models. And judging by the material count in my scene (over 250) the other ones aren't better.

I tweaked the bloom a bit, the reflections on the ship were getting way too shiny sometimes. Thanks to
@blenderdumbass for pointing this out. The threshold wasn't changing much (i even tried setting it to 1000 but it was still too bright) so i just set the mix to -,95.
This is what it looks like in one of the brightest frames after the changes.
