Haven’t managed to post anything for this year’s #30DayMapChallenge, but just in time for the final day, here’s an animation of my time-averaged location, based on how long I’ve lived in the five different cities I’ve called home:

Edinburgh - 18.5 years
Liverpool - 4 years
Albuquerque, NM - 8 years
Lexington, VA - 3 years
Oxford, OH - 3 years
Edinburgh - 5 years

Excitingly for a geologist, I’ll cross back over the Mid-Atlantic Ridge in 2032!

Growing up I heard a stat that Edinburgh had more golf courses within the city limits than any other city in the world. I don't know if that is true but there certainly are a lot!

So it’s not going to win any #dataviz competitions I admit, but this quick illustration of final positions in the Premier League and Scottish Premiership by actual points scored is quite eye opening.

The gulf between the Old Firm and the rest in Scottish football is absurd! In contrast, the similarities at the bottom of the tables are intriguing (and yes Ross County fans, I know it’s only a relegation playoff at this point!).
